01THE PROCESSArchitecture & Execution

How we shaped the solution from concept to production.

Every project engagement at Higlax is led by senior engineers and designers working in tight collaboration with founding teams.

[ The Product ]

Creating a single platform for candidates and recruiters

Hiresphere was designed to make the recruitment process easier for both sides of the hiring journey. Candidates need a straightforward way to discover opportunities, manage their profiles, submit applications, and keep track of what happens after they apply. Recruiters need the tools to publish vacancies, review applicants, manage candidate information, and move through the hiring process efficiently.

Instead of separating these experiences across different systems, Hiresphere brings both user types into one connected recruitment platform. Each user gets an experience tailored to their role, while the underlying system keeps the relevant jobs, applications, profiles, and account information connected.

The result is a recruitment product that supports the complete journey from creating an account and setting up a profile to posting a job, receiving applications, reviewing candidates, and communicating throughout the process.

[ The Challenge ]

Supporting two very different users in one application

One of the main challenges in building Hiresphere was designing a product that could serve both candidates and recruiters without making the experience unnecessarily complicated.

A candidate needs to provide information about their professional background, skills, experience, and CV. A recruiter, on the other hand, needs to establish their organization or professional identity, create job listings, and manage applicants.

These different requirements meant that the onboarding experience, account information, available actions, and dashboard views had to be designed around the user’s role from the beginning.

The platform also needed to handle the relationship between jobs, applications, candidate profiles, recruiter accounts, subscription limits, and application statuses. Making these workflows work together reliably required careful attention to the frontend, backend, and underlying data structure.

[ Role-Based Onboarding ]

A tailored onboarding experience for every type of user

Hiresphere supports two primary user roles: candidates and recruiters. During onboarding, users can identify the type of account they want to create, allowing the platform to guide them through the information relevant to their goals.

Candidates can build a professional profile that supports their job search and applications. Recruiters can provide the information needed to establish their profile and begin creating job opportunities.

The platform uses this role-based structure to provide a more relevant experience after registration. Users can access the workflows and information that matter to them without being presented with features intended for the other side of the recruitment process.

This approach also creates a clearer foundation for future functionality, since candidate-specific and recruiter-specific features can be managed within the same application architecture.

[ Authentication ]

Making account creation and sign-in simple

Hiresphere includes email-and-password authentication alongside Google login, giving users more than one way to access the platform.

The authentication system provides the foundation for role-based access and personalized account experiences. Once users sign in, the application can associate their activity with the appropriate candidate or recruiter account.

Authentication is connected to the rest of the platform so that users can manage their profiles, access their dashboards, interact with jobs, and perform actions appropriate to their account type.

The goal was to make getting started straightforward while maintaining a reliable account structure for the recruitment workflows that follow.

[ Job Management ]

Giving recruiters a practical way to publish and manage opportunities

Recruiters can create and publish job listings through the platform. The job posting workflow is designed to give employers a structured way to present opportunities to potential candidates.

Once a job is available, candidates can discover the opportunity and review the relevant information before deciding whether to apply.

The platform connects job listings with recruiter accounts and application records, allowing each opportunity to become part of a broader recruitment workflow rather than existing as an isolated posting.

Recruiters can manage their job-related activity from their account, while candidates can interact with available opportunities through their own dashboard and application experience.

[ Candidate Applications ]

Connecting job discovery with a structured application process

Hiresphere allows candidates to apply for jobs directly through the platform. The application workflow connects a candidate’s account and profile information with the job they are interested in.

Candidates can manage their professional information and CV, making it easier to maintain the details they use when applying for opportunities.

The platform also supports multiple candidates applying for the same job. Applications are associated with the relevant listing, giving recruiters a central place to review the people who have expressed interest in a position.

This creates a clear connection between job discovery, application submission, recruiter review, and the updates that follow during the hiring process.

[ Recruiter Applicant Management ]

Helping recruiters review applicants without losing track of the details

Receiving applications is only useful when recruiters can review them efficiently. Hiresphere provides a recruiter-focused workflow for viewing applicants associated with job listings.

Recruiters can access candidate information and CVs, allowing them to assess applicants and better understand their professional background before deciding how to proceed.

The system is designed to support the review of multiple applicants for an individual job. Rather than requiring recruiters to manage candidate information through separate files or disconnected communication, the relevant information is available through the recruitment platform.

This gives recruiters a more organized way to move from publishing a vacancy to evaluating the people who apply for it.

[ WordPress Ecosystem ]

Extending WordPress with recruitment, payments, and custom functionality

The platform was designed around WordPress and its plugin ecosystem, allowing established CMS functionality to serve as the foundation for a more specialized recruitment product.

A job-management solution such as WP Job Manager can provide the core structure for publishing and organizing job listings, while WooCommerce and subscription extensions can support the commercial side of the platform.

Additional customization is required to connect candidate and recruiter accounts, application workflows, profile management, subscription restrictions, and application-status updates into one consistent experience.

This approach allows a recruitment platform to benefit from the flexibility of WordPress while still providing functionality tailored to its business model and user requirements.

[ Subscription System ]

A flexible account model with three subscription tiers

Hiresphere includes a subscription-based business model with three plans. Each tier provides a different level of access to platform capabilities, allowing users to choose a plan that fits their recruitment or job-search needs.

The subscription system is connected to the platform’s core workflows rather than functioning as a separate billing screen. Plan-related limits can influence how users interact with features such as job applications and job postings.

For candidates, subscription benefits can include increased application allowances. For recruiters, plans can provide different levels of job-posting access and related capabilities.

The system also supports the account-management experience required for a tiered product, giving users a way to understand their plan and manage their access as their needs change.

[ Profile & CV Management ]

Keeping professional information organized in one place

A strong recruitment platform needs to make profile management straightforward. Hiresphere provides candidates with tools to maintain their professional information and CV, so their application details can remain up to date.

Candidates can manage the information associated with their account and make changes as their experience, skills, or career goals evolve.

Recruiters also have profile-management capabilities that allow them to maintain their account information and manage their presence on the platform.

The platform supports account editing and profile deletion, giving users control over their information and their relationship with the application.

[ Application Activity ]

Giving candidates a clearer view of what happens after they apply

Applying for a job can be frustrating when candidates have no visibility into what happens next. Hiresphere addresses this through an activity area that helps candidates keep track of their applications.

The activity experience allows candidates to review their application-related progress and stay informed about changes in the status of their submissions.

Application states such as selected or rejected can be reflected in the platform, helping candidates understand where they stand instead of relying entirely on separate communication channels.

This creates a more transparent experience for candidates and gives the recruitment process a clearer flow from application submission to an eventual decision.

[ Real-Time Updates ]

Keeping users informed as recruitment activity changes

Recruitment workflows often involve changes that users need to know about quickly. An application may be reviewed, a candidate’s status may change, or a recruiter may need to see new activity associated with a job listing.

Hiresphere includes real-time notification functionality to help keep candidates and recruiters informed about relevant updates within the platform.

The system connects application activity with the user experience so that important changes can be surfaced without requiring users to repeatedly check every part of their account.

This was an important part of making the platform feel responsive and useful, particularly for candidates waiting for feedback and recruiters managing multiple applications.

[ Communication ]

Supporting interaction through integrated chat functionality

Hiresphere also includes real-time chat support, providing a communication layer within the product.

Chat functionality gives users a way to interact through the platform rather than depending entirely on external communication tools for every interaction.

Combined with application tracking and account information, this helps create a more connected recruitment experience where users can manage important parts of their journey within the same application.

The communication layer also complements the platform’s real-time functionality, supporting a more responsive experience for people using the product.

[ Multilingual Experience ]

Making the platform more accessible to a wider audience

Hiresphere includes multilingual functionality, allowing the product to support users who may prefer different languages when navigating the platform.

The language system forms part of the broader user-experience design, helping make the application more accessible across different audiences.

For a recruitment platform serving candidates and recruiters with different backgrounds, supporting multiple languages can make onboarding, navigation, and everyday account management more approachable.

This functionality was integrated as part of the product rather than being treated as an afterthought, helping the platform accommodate a broader range of users.

[ CMS Development ]

Building a recruitment platform around WordPress and its flexible CMS ecosystem

Higlax Solutions developed Hiresphere as a WordPress-based recruitment platform, using the flexibility of a content management system to support job listings, user profiles, applications, and subscription-based functionality.

WordPress provided the foundation for managing the platform’s content and user-facing experiences, while specialized plugins and custom configurations supported the recruitment workflows required by the product.

The platform was structured around two primary user types: candidates and recruiters. Each role required different account information, permissions, and actions, from managing a professional profile and applying for jobs to publishing vacancies and reviewing applicants.

The development work focused on adapting the CMS to the client’s recruitment requirements rather than relying on a generic job-board setup. The result was a more tailored platform built around the way Hiresphere intended its users to interact with the product.

[ The Outcome ]

A connected recruitment experience for both sides of the hiring process

The result is a comprehensive job portal that brings candidates and recruiters into one structured platform. Candidates can create accounts, build their profiles, discover opportunities, submit applications, and track application activity.

Recruiters can manage their accounts, publish job listings, review applicants, and access candidate information and CVs through their own workflows.

The subscription model gives the product room to support different user needs, while real-time notifications, chat functionality, and multilingual support make the experience more useful and accessible.

Hiresphere demonstrates Higlax’s ability to build a full-stack digital product with multiple user roles, interconnected business workflows, real-time functionality, and subscription-based access from the ground up.

02BUSINESS IMPACTOutcomes & Metrics

What we solved and the impact delivered.

[ THE CORE PROBLEM ]

Making recruitment easier for candidates and recruiters

The recruitment process involves two groups of users with different goals. Candidates want to find relevant jobs, present their experience, and understand what happens after applying. Recruiters need to publish opportunities, organize applications, and review candidates efficiently.

Without a connected platform, these activities can become fragmented across job boards, email conversations, spreadsheets, and separate profile systems. Candidates may have limited visibility into their applications, while recruiters may struggle to keep applicant information organized.

Hiresphere needed to bring these workflows together while also supporting different account roles, subscription-based access, profile management, and real-time updates.

The challenge was to build a product that could handle these connected requirements without making the experience unnecessarily complicated for either side of the recruitment process.

[ THE MEASURED OUTCOME ]

A complete job portal built around real recruitment workflows

Higlax delivered a full-stack recruitment platform that connects candidates and recruiters through a shared but role-specific experience.

The application brings together job posting, job applications, candidate and recruiter profiles, CV management, applicant review, subscription plans, application tracking, and real-time communication.

Its architecture supports the relationship between job listings, applicants, user accounts, and subscription limits, allowing the platform to manage more than just the presentation of job vacancies.

The final product gives Hiresphere a strong foundation for connecting job seekers and employers through a more organized, accessible, and user-friendly recruitment experience.
